Our parents' generation has lived through extraordinary change. They've adapted to a world that moves faster and becomes more digital every day. Even with years of experience using technology in my professional life, I sometimes find these changes frustrating. I can only imagine how overwhelming they can feel to the generation before us.
Watching my own parents navigate these changes has sometimes been heartbreaking. Everyday tasks that once seemed simple can become increasingly challenging. It's one of the reasons I decided to use my skills to support older adults.
For adult children helping aging parents, managing paperwork and important records can become another responsibility in an already busy life. Having someone help organize that information can ease some of the burden while respecting their parents' independence and preferences, with patience and compassion.
I can't slow down the world around us, but I can help make some things a little easier.
